Why Donald Trump is using the same tactic as Star Wars villain Emperor Palpatine(Wait, what?)

I am a big Star Wars fan. I am also a big fan of politics, especially this year’s election. However, after looking at the political news, and reviewing the Star Wars storyline, I discovered a similarity in two people: Emperor Palpatine and Donald Trump.

I’m not saying that Trump is an idiot. In fact, I’m saying that he is actually intelligent enough to deceive voters and insult minorities in a way that nobody has before, except for the fictional character, Sheev Palpatine.

Now, I can guarantee you that this similarity is not intentional, Palpatine’s character was designed in 1980, long before Trump ran for president.

The main similarity is their treatment of minorities. Although this wasn’t seen fully in the films, official text and even the Rebels TV series have proven that Palpatine’s main strategy after gaining power, is basically banishing aliens from Imperial society. He appeared in holotransmissions spreading lies and fear about aliens, which led humans all around the galaxy to reject and hate their alien counterparts. Meanwhile, Trump’s ideals of racism are strengthened by inflammatory lies designed to strike fear into US voters, and lead them to believe that the country belongs to white people, and that immigrants cannot be tolerated.

Racism is one of the uses of Trump’s lies and metaphorical fear gas, but he also uses it to attack rivals such as Ted Cruz and Hillary Clinton. He used the rumored emails to insult Clinton’s crookedness, and attacked Cruz on his hypocrisy after going from “Not making America a police state” to requesting patrol of Muslim neighborhoods. Back to Star Wars, Palpatine exploits the chaos of the Senate when dissolving it, and sends propaganda on the Holonet painting the Rebel Alliance as a group of scoundrels, and the Galactic Empire as a protective force to prevent them.

If you don’t fully get it, here’s an analogy for you. Imagine you have a green table, but your friend thinks it should be brown, so he paints the table brown. In response, you paint the table green, and the war goes on. As you run out of paint, you both agree to have the rest of your friends decide. A good strategy is to frame the brown paint as filth, and your green paint a force of beauty. In this case, you are Trump/Palpatine, and your friend is the Democratic Party/Rebel Alliance.

Conclusion: The Sith Master, corrupt Emperor of the galaxy, and Master Of Deceiving, is running for president and is currently winning. No, this isn’t an excuse to stress eat the ice cream cake for your friend’s birthday. Think about Palpatine, who was later killed by Luke and Anakin Skywalker, and now is but a legend. Let’s hope somebody rises up to defeat the Galactic Empire and restore peace to the galaxy, whether it’s Bernie Sanders, Hillary Clinton, or a random Canadian Star Wars fan/political blogger.

Cause you never know.

Other Cool Blogs

If you are on my blog right now, you should know that I, like you, am a huge fan of blogs. So I thought I’d make this list of some other cool blogs you should check out.

This blog belongs to one of my friends from school, who has cooking as his LiD topic(learn more here) and started this blog to show what he learned. He has some really cool facts, recipes, and restaurant reviews, and burgerbun is one of my favorite blogs.

This is a really cool blog featuring short stories which explain aspects of computer science through cool and hilarious fairy tales.(See Book Review: Computational Fairy Tales.) Some of these tales were made into a book which I wrote a review of, and I think this is a really cool blog that all of you should check out.

This blog has been put up by my little brother, and while he is still working on it, he has got some cool posts.

Game Review: Pokemon oRaS

You might not know, but I am a huge fan of Pokemon games. Recently, I saved up a bit of money with my bro, and bought myself a copy of Pokemon Omega Ruby.

Summary: For anyone who knows the Pokemon series, I can just say were going way back to a better Hoenn. For those of you who don’t know much about Pokemon, it’s a game where you can catch, collect, train, battle, and befriend powerful creatures called Pokemon. Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire(oRaS for short)came out in 2014 and are the newest games in the Pokemon series. Pokemon oRaS is a remake of Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, which released in 2002. I got Pokemon Omega Ruby, where you can catch Groudon and take down Team Magma.(as opposed to Pokemon Alpha Sapphire, where you catch Kyogre  and take down Team Aqua.)

The Plot: An adventure begins when you move to Littleroot Town, home of Professor Birch. Birch, being one of the best Pokemon Professors in Hoenn and a friend of your dad, Norman,  lets you choose between three starter Pokemon, Treeko, Torchic, and Mudkip. You must now embark on a journey to beat all 8 Gym Leaders, beat the Elite 4, become the champion, and “Catch ’em all!” Unfortunately, Groudon has awakened, and Team Magma plans to use his power to take over Hoenn! Now, it’s up to you to stop them, and catch Groudon!

Remarks: Pokemon oRaS brought back Secret Bases, a feature from the 3rd Generation, and added a feature where you can visit your friend’s secret bases through the use of QR codes on the BuzzNav. Speaking of the BuzzNav, it also brought the PokeNav Plus to the table, a great way to find your way around Hoenn, learn more about your Pokemon, use items, interact with your Pokemon, check out the news, and even train up your Pokemon’s base stats wit Super and Core Training mini games.

All in all, I think this is the best game in the Pokemon series, and also my new favorite. I give it twelve stars!(************)

Book Review: Computational Fairy Tales

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a book review, and I found a really good book recently, so I figured I’d better write a book review.

The book is “Computational Fairy Tales”, written by Jeremy Kubica. If you have a kid interested in computer science, you probably know about the many books designed to teach kids coding. Well “Computational fairy tales” is like that, except instead of just teaching coding methods, it also teaches the algorithms themselves.

The Plot: Princess Ann is sent alone on a quest to prevent some sort of darkness from engulfing the kingdom. In this quest, she will face many challenges. She must learn to surpass these challenges using coding methods (which she already knows) and algorithms (some of which she must learn).

Remarks: The book is built like an anthology, separated into short stories, each one teaching a different method or algorithm. Unlike an anthology, all the stories are linked together, so reading them in a collection will give you the story of Ann’s quest to save the kingdom from darkness.

History: Jeremy Kubica originally had a blog where he would post short stories on aspects of programming such as merge sort, loops, recursion, etc. Soon, his blog became a big hit, and coders of all ages read his entertaining stories of magical mishaps, library apprenticeships, and of course, Princess Ann’s journey to save the kingdom. After writing a lot of stories, he decided that he could do something even cooler. He could write a book!

If you really want a good taste of the stories, you can check out this link over here.

Rating: I give this book(which is now my new fav) ten stars!(**********)

Behold: Anger Management Game: Shoot Trump and make America great again!

Recently I started developing a small arcade style game on Unity 5 called Anger Management: Shoot Trump and make America great again. Its basically a game where you throw darts at a picture of US election candidate Donald Trump. I designed it as a way for non-Trump supporters to take out their anger on the racist, conservative, idiot. The link is right here at anger management.

A picture of Trump moves back and forth on the screen, and you must shoot it with your arrow by tapping the screen and launching the arrow. If it hits, you get a point and keep playing, but if it misses, the game is over.

This is only the beta version of the game. After all the features are complete, I will release the game on iOS. That means that you can download it on your iPhone or iPad.

Come back for new updates on Anger Management!

Check out this new (almost) Lego set!

Hey guys, I know I haven’t posted in a long time, so here I am again, and iv’e got something really cool to show you.

Out of everyone reading this, I would say 50% of you are Lego maniacs like me. Unfortunately, there are some sets we want that just don’t exist out there. And that’s why they have Lego Ideas!

Lego Ideas is a website where ordinary people can make Lego models submit them, and if they follow the project guidelines, are supported by 1,000 people,  and are approved by a committee of official Lego critics, they actually become real Lego sets!

I recently submitted a set called Olympian Action Figures. It is a three-in-one set where you can build an action figure of the ancient Greek gods Zeus, Poseidon, or Hades. the link to my project page on Lego Ideas is right here. At the time of writing this, I have 8 supporters, which is barely enough to get my set made now, but is still a good start. If you have a Lego account, then you can support my project, or any project you think should be a set. And if you have a good idea for a Lego set, then feel free to post it on Lego Ideas!

This is the picture of the Zeus action figure, one of the many figures you can create with my Olympian Action Figures set.

Quantum Teleportation

No, I’m not kidding. Teleportation is possible, but you might need to know a bit of quantum mechanics…

The rest of this post contains complex scientific ideas and terminology which depending on your IQ and geekiness will (besides being completely safe and innovative if you’re a nerd) make you either scratch your head, freeze your mind or explode your brain.

Okay, back to the post.

Studies have shown that two isolated particles in a vacuum tend to entangle with each other, or send constant waves back and forth with each other. Scientists have also discovered the holy grail of science, the Higgs Boson, which entangles with any particle in any condition. All these principles can be combined to create a teleportation device to transfer an electron from one place to another, no matter how separated the two places are.

Say you have two boxes, one in the north pole and one in the south pole. Say you put an electron in Box A, and you want to get it to Box B without touching the electron. What do you do? Take two Higgs Bosons, entangle them together, and put one in each box. Since Boson A is in the same box as electron, the two entangle together, forming a three way entanglement. This means that electron will also be entangled with Boson B, so electron will be in two places at once. Separate the electron from Boson B, and it will end up in Box B.

Bitopia-Part 2

I already made Bitopia part 1 a few days ago, and said I would continue, so behold, Bitopia part 2.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Housing                                                                                                                                    —————————————————————————————————————————–

The people of Bitopia live in collections of silicon bubbles, able to withstand large amounts of weight, but still able to be blown in a few seconds. Every time a new dude moves into one of the cities, we will blow a house for him. The new house will be completely free, so there will be no mortgage or poverty.

There are no farms in Bitopia. Instead, there are labs which generate multiple types of molecules injected into edible cubes called Kump. Kump has great taste, but also plenty of essential nutrients such as glucose and carbohydrates. Regular Kump is free in three meals, while extra Kump and premium Kump is a bit more expensive. Premium Kump has extra flavors and nutrients that are more exotic than the regular vitamin A, iron, protein, lactose, fiber, gelatin, glucose, fruit flavor, and non-saturated fat.

That’s all for this episode of Bitopia, stay tuned!

Why Barbie is many things(none of them good)

Barbie is one of the most popular doll franchises in North America, especially for its message “You can be anything.” But, have you ever noticed, what ever Barbie becomes, its always “girly” in a way. She’s become so far, a princess, a pink suited-superhero, and a singer. Stereotypes!!! And if she’s not those things, she’s a teenage girl who’s got a mansion, giant RV, limousine, and a sister with a clubhouse the size of some townhouses. That’s the only place you’ll find her which doesn’t have a movie. In the movies, she’s got plenty of emotions ranging from sadness to fear to surprise, but in the toys, she only has one emotion: happiness. You never see a barbie doll with a shocked or scared face, or with teary eyes, but you always see her smiling. That’s like saying: “you’ll cry and scream as a fairy or superhero, but if you’re rich, you’ll always be happy!” Wrong!!! Barbie is a spoiled brat, that’s all she is! And yet she’s happy! If a real girl lived in her so called dreamhouse for a year, she”ll probably grow bored and tired of clothes and makeup and shoe shopping, and I can’t describe how happy she’ll be when she LEAVES!!! Speaking of dreamhouses, there happens to be a TV show called Barbie:Life in the Dreamhouse, which features a huge cast of friends and family to support Barbie. But they’re all white! I wrote a post on bad things with Lego Friends, but at least they have some more diversity!

End scene.

Bitopia: Part 1

I remember one day, I was thinking of all the problems with different types of government. The problems with democracy. The problems with dictatorship. The problems  with monarchy, imperialism, you get the idea. And then I thought , what if there was a country ruled by a supercomputer? Then I thought of a nation controlled entirely by technology, and the name of this nation is… Bitopia

At the heart of Bitopolis, capital of Bitopia, lies a large chamber, towering over the others in the mighty Ruling Center. This chamber houses a large quantum computer with a complex control panel. This computer is connected to all technology in Bitopolis, including transmission devices to send information to other cities. The name of this computer is Bitocrates, and its task is to rule Bitopia. Every city in Bitopia has its own version of Bitocrates, but they all answer to the Bitocrates in Bitopolis.  Such a government is called a Bitocracy, but there are many other important officials. The Chief Representant represents the country of Bitopia at an international scale. However, if a country decides to speak with one Bitopian city, each city has a Main Representant to speak for Bitocrates. In order to create a new law, a Governant passes the problem into Bitocrates using a special code.  Bitocrates then uses is logic analysis programming(LAG) to deliver a solution to the Representant.

You might think that in a nation being ruled by a computer, what kind of representation do people have? The answer to that is, better than republican countries. The people of Bitopia do not vote on who should lead, but on what direction the Bitocracy takes. Here is one example of the many Bitopian ballots:

Do you think Bitopia should spend more money on….

-Roads, bridges, and transportation

-Project funds and innovation

-Civilian housing and immigration

That is one of many different types of ballots, each type counted separately in a massive post-electionary period. During the period, the world’s best programmers renew Bitocrates’s code to fit each different choice made by the people.

We’ve been talking about goverment for two sections now, so how is everyday life like in Bitopolis and and other cities? Well, although there are plenty of factories in Bitopia, just like in other cities, the people who work there don’t do any gruff work, that’s the job of robots. The people who work there either repair the robots, or they debug their programming. But Bitopia doesn’t just have factories. Like any country, it has restaurants, hotels, theaters, and more. However, just like the factories, any regular human job is done by robots and/or digital  intelligence, with humans programming them. However, jobs such as game developing or banking which require humans to program stay the same in Bitopia.

Part two of this post will come soon. Bye!
