IDS: Writing melodies on guitar
Today as part of my IDS project, I conceptualized some melody ideas for trap on my guitar, then wrote them into tablature.
Previously, I have been experimenting on my piano, an instrument which is more conventional for music writing, but which I’m not very familiar with. However, being much more proficient in guitar, which includes improvisation, guitar is a much better alternative for composition. The only issue is the difficulty in transcribing guitar pieces to Sibelius, but I plan to solve this by getting a tablature software as well.
